12-methyl Tridecanoic acid methyl ester is a methylated fatty acid methyl ester that has been found in beef tallow, mutton tallow, and cod liver oil. It has been used as a standard for the quantification of 12-methyl tridecanoic acid in the triglyceride fraction of skin surface lipids from human males by GC-MS.
