Background

Brevifolincarboxylic acid is a phenol that has been found in D. chrysantha and has anticancer and anti-inflammatory activities.^1,2 It inhibits the proliferation of PC-14 lung cancer cells (IC₅₀ = 3.95 ?g/ml).¹ Brevifolincarboxylic acid (20 ?M) reduces LPS-induced increases in nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.²
